The Experience Behind the Clarity.
Land and Build Clarity was founded by Christine McCollam — someone who has spent over 23 years working inside the residential building industry, on both sides of the contract process.
About Christine
Christine McCollam has spent over 23 years working inside the residential land and building industry across both Victoria and South Australia — in corporate management, hands-on operational roles, and directly with clients and building teams.
Her career has taken her across the full breadth of the industry — from mentoring land development and building sales teams at companies including Metricon, Simonds, Oliver Hume and Burbank Homes, to sitting alongside buyers navigating one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.
She has worked on both sides of the contract process. She knows how volume builders structure their agreements, where allowances are set, how variations are managed, and what buyers are rarely told before they sign.
Land and Build Clarity was built on that experience — to give buyers the kind of clarity that was previously only available from inside the industry.
Christine has studied an Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural) from RMIT and an Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing at TAFE SA. She is based in South Australia and works with buyers in both SA and Victoria.
Why This Service Exists
Many buyers sign contracts under time pressure, often relying on assumptions about how those contracts work.
In practice, most issues don’t arise from the contract itself — they arise from how the contract is understood.
Land and Build Clarity exists to close that gap. An independent review gives you a practical, plain-English picture of what you’re committing to — before you commit.
This service is independent of builders, developers and sales agents. It’s not about delaying your purchase or creating conflict.
